In late 2012, Pennies-4-Paws Inc. applied for relocation grant assistance through the ASPCA.  The relocation grant funds are to assist qualified organizations with expenses related to the transport or rehoming of animals in shelters. 

In March of 2013, we received notification that we were approved for the maximum relocation grant award allowed, $5,000.  This is not only the first grant we have ever applied for, but it allows us to continue to transport dogs and cats from high kill shelters to rescues and shelters in the north, typically IL, WI and MN.  We have also been given approval to provide a portion of these funds to the rescues who are driving long distances to pick their dogs up from us on transport.

Grant update: Over 250 lives were saved as a result of this grant.  Thank you, ASPCA.
